HSE Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
Scion Supply LImited has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and it is fully committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking via its statutory and other business activities. Scion Supply Limited is also committed to ensuring there is transparency in its activities and in its approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with the disclosure obligations of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This statement sets out Scion Supply Limited’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks, related to its business and to ensure steps are maintained to prevent slavery and human trafficking.
1. Scion Supply Limited's Business Structure and Operations: Scion Supply Limited takes care to assure that appointments are on merit after fair and open competition. We also endeavour to consistently promote our core values of Honesty, Integrity, Objectivity and Impartiality, and listens carefully to complaints believing they are the best way to improve our service. Scion Supply Limited’s primary function is supply.
2. Polices relevant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015: Scion Supply Limited adheres to the government policies regarding the provention of slavery
3. Due Diligence Processes: Scion Supply Limited regularly audits employment policies. This ensures compliance with all aspects of the policies and procedures provided above.
4. Risk of Slavery and Human Trafficking Taking place: As a small familiy business, Scion Supply Limited takes any recruitment activities extremely seriously and is rigourous in the process.The nature of our business activities means the risk of Scion Supply Limited itself being a perpetrator of Slavery or Human Trafficking, is practically zero.
The risk of Scion Supply Limited procuring goods or services from organisations where there could be Slavery or Human Trafficking is very low due to the fact we only purchase from approved manufacturers and check and audit suppliers in accordance with government policy. Scion Supply Limited ensure the legitimacy of their workforce and ensure that all personnel (including sub-contractors) engaged in the performance of contracts have undergone pre-employment checks confirming their identity, employment history, nationality, immigration status and criminal record for unspent convictions.
